Code of Conduct

MSV Incognito is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all members, participants, and guests. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior at all Incognito events and activities.

Our Standards

Expected Behavior:

  • Treat everyone with respect and consideration
  • Communicate openly and thoughtfully
  • Be inclusive and welcoming to newcomers
  • Respect differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Show empathy towards others

Unacceptable Behavior:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind
  • Offensive comments related to personal characteristics
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Disruptive behavior at events
  • Any form of bullying or threats

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please contact the board immediately at incognito@maastrichtuniversity.nl or speak to a board member in person.

All reports will be handled confidentially and with discretion.

Enforcement

The MSV Incognito board reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate in response to violations of this Code of Conduct, including:

  • Verbal warning
  • Removal from the event or activity
  • Temporary or permanent suspension of membership
  • Reporting to university authorities when applicable

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all Incognito activities, including but not limited to:

  • General assemblies and meetings
  • Social events and parties
  • Career days and workshops
  • Online communication channels
  • Any other Incognito-sponsored activity

This Code of Conduct is subject to revision by the MSV Incognito board. Last updated: 2024.
